Barclays has announced key leadership changes within its Asia-Pacific investment banking business, effective immediately.
Richard Satchwell has been appointed head of capital markets financing, Asia-Pacific. Most recently, he was the country CEO and head of investment banking in Australia. In his new role, he will relocate to Singapore and lead the region’s debt and equity financing activities.
In his place, Duncan Connellan will assume the role of head of investment banking, Australia, and David Henderson will be the CEO of BBPLC Australia.
Ee-Ching Tay has been named head of M&A, Asia-Pacific, while continuing in her current role as head of investment banking, Southeast Asia.
Arun Saigal is the new head of investment banking, India, expanding his remit in addition to his role as head of financing and M&A in the country. In this expanded role, he will help strengthen the bank’s presence in this key growth market.
Pramod Kumar will continue as the CEO of BBPLC India. He will also assume additional responsibility as vice chairman, investment banking, Asia-Pacific, subject to regulatory approval, bringing strategic oversight and leadership to the franchise in the region.

Sushir Lohia, head of the risk solutions group, Asia-Pacific; Yuzo Otsuka, head of investment banking, Japan; and Raymond Yu, head of investment banking, Greater China, will continue in their roles as integral members of the leadership team.
